Honestly there is so much information to digest when learning about why eating whole, plant-based foods. There are the common foods that most people eat and don’t think about why it’s good for you and there are some foods that people may not have every tried or heard of that they may be missing out on that food’s health benefits. Maybe we “don’t like that” (that’s what I hear a lot about Tofu), but it’s true that your tastebuds change over time and what you thought you didn’t like, you can learn to like it. Many times it’s the way it’s prepared or seasoned. I’d like to be able to answer a question that I get asked a lot which is, “What does eating (fill in the food) really do for you? It’s impossible for me, at this point, to remember what a certain food item does for you and what nutritional benefit our bodies get from eating a serving size.
I belong to several Facebook Groups dedicated to education, scientific research, and recipes so there are a lot of information that are useful to have handy. There are a lot more clever people who provide quick pictures of food and their benefits that I like to save. I try to save as many as possible in a Saved Folders so when I see a post or recipe I want to have handy, I just click the three dots at the top of the Facebook post and select “Save Link” and put it in my Plant Based Folder. There are so many of these images that pop up and I am trying to put them here on the website for you to have a quick glance too.
